Winter seems long and everlasting
With no end to come at all.
The coldness like the heart of the Devil.
In deep slumber lies a puddle of water in a cave of icicles.
Only a deer's breath can awaken what lies within.
The spirit of green flies among the snow-covered trees
Groaning under the weight of snow.
Flying among lakes of ice, feeling cold without warmth.
She flies above mounds of snow, freeing flowers to bloom once again.
In her wake, grass is finally found, trees freed from their burden,
Flourishing many months after bitterness.
And melting the freezing cold of lakes and rivers.
Creatures who survived awaken or return from long journeys to witness renewel.
Sunlight shines stronger to ward off the darkness longer.
Only few know who created this beauty, who knows who she is.
To bring the wonders of Spring and Summer,
Behold the spirit of the woods.

Tree Leaves
Tree Leaves
I hope that you’re happy,
I hope I am too.
See, we were under a shadow.
It was lovely, true,
But when one day I looked up,
It was then that I knew
I couldn’t stay under tree leaves,
I had to see the sky so blue.
See, under that calm tree,
I couldn’t laugh like I used to.
I forgot how to be me,
And that’s something I couldn’t do.
I couldn’t look at you, closed my eyes
When I said adieu.
But I hope that you’ll smile
And under the sky that I will too.
And for all of our tree leaves,
I’ll hold those mem’ries, and thank you.

Very neat! Great job visualizing the spirit, I can see her flying by, bringing spring with her.
